Dr Lu Liu

Dr Lu Liu completed clinical medicine at the Chongqing Medical University, after which she practised for 3 years as a physician. In July 2023, she completed her Master of Philosophy (in medical biotechnology). Her master's thesis title was “The potential of Extracellular Vesicles to mediate repair in lung diseases”. Currently, she is working at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) as a research assistant.  

Next year she will start her PhD, under both Distinguished Professor Brian Oliver and Dr Jiao Jiao Li. Her PhD project title currently is “Understanding the role of EVs in the lung Brain axis”.

Lu in her spare time, enjoys pool swimming. She also enjoys hiking and camping.
