Andrew is a PhD student, being supervised by the Distinguished Professor Brian Oliver. Andrew completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours) at the University of Technology Sydney. The honours project involved the 3rd hand effect of e-cigarettes, which are the aerosols that land on surroundings, following someone smoking an e-cigarette.
Andrew is currently 8 months into the PhD, which is building upon the same research area of the honours. The project involves how the 3rd hand effects of e-cigarette exposure in utero, impact the offspring's health outcomes, with a focus on respiratory diseases, such as asthma. The study involves the use of mouse models to determine the effects of this exposure.
Andrew also enjoys going to the beach and is a competent surfer.
