Michaela is a PhD student under the supervision of Distinguished Professor Brian Oliver. Michaela completed a Bachelor of Clinical Science at Macquarie University in Sydney, followed by honours at the University of Technology Sydney. Her honours project involved comparing the impact of moon dust on lung epithelial cells versus the impact of Earth’s air pollution on lung epithelial cells. Michaela’s PhD, which she has just begun, involves investigating, the cellular functional changes, of the respiratory system in microgravity conditions.
Michaela enjoys horse riding. She is also very passionate about space.
