About me

After completing a PhD in free radical biology at Uni Sydney, I worked at the Heart Research Institute working on lipid oxidation and macrophage foam cells. Since August 2000 I have been a lecturer in physiology and pathophysiology at UTS. I continue working on the role of reactive oxygen species in chronic inflammatory diseases. My major current interest is the potential contribution of hypohalous acid oxidants to disease development and progression in inflammatory lung diseases.

My expertise

Primary cell culture, flow cytometry, assaying oxidant production and antioxidant function.
